High profile discovery-and-development toxicology leadership role for design, implementation, interpretation and reporting safety profiles for small molecule therapeutics, including IND- and Phase III-enabling toxicology studies.
Meet project timelines by providing with high quality scientific support in a timely manner. Supervise internal safety research and manage out-sourcing projects.
Lead within a strongly team oriented, cross-functional and collaborative environment.
Use superlative interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with regulatory representatives, direct reports, multidisciplinary in-house colleagues, and contract teams.
Qualifications:
Toxicologist with Ph.D. and 7 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience (or equivalent education and experience) well versed in designing and interpreting drug safety evaluations.
Board Certification by the American Board of Toxicology or equivalent is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of GLP and international regulatory requirements and proven knowledge in aspects of drug development.
Must have a broad scientific scope and demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at one time.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Ability to be an interdisciplinary collaborator and a leader who can teach and guide staff and establish systems for fast track drug development.
